About Bashir
Bashir was born in Naran,
Pakistan, in 1956. He started his career as a trekking guide in 1978, and now
has over 25 years experience in all areas of Northern Pakistan. Growing up in
the beautiful Kaghan Valley, Bashir eventually co-authored a guidebook to that
region called, "Kaghan Valley, Beyond any Guide" (Times Printer,
1998). Bashir's specialty is custom itineraries for small groups. Great
flexibility, prices well below organized Western and Pakistani trekking
outfits, and a less "insulated" experience than with large organized
groups are hallmarks of a trek with Bashir. Bashir's safety record is
impeccable. Married with seven children, Bashir's main career is catering to
the diverse needs of travelers and trekkers.
